The Pig Yard

January 2001 @ the Pig Yard...

January is always a slow month. It's dark in the morning when we get up, and dark before we get home from work. This could be depressing but we're having a period in our lives when everything is very good, perhaps our month away from work made us realise what is important in our lives.

We've been to see several very good films in the past month. For film reviews try www.insideout.co.uk
Family Man stars Nicholas Cage and was one of those feel good films which highlights the choices we make in our lives and all the "what ifs" that occur almost on a daily basis. The Family Man
The Family Man rating 3/5
Castaway stars Tom Hanks and although you know the plot from the beginning (a bit like Apollo 13) he manages to hold your interest from the beginning to the end. Jane thought he should've been thinner after 4 years but she's a stickler for details. Cast Away
Cast Away rating 3/5
Pay it Forward stars Kevin Spacey and Helen Hunt. Another feel good film with a shocking twist at the end. This is a "must see" film. Pay It Forward
Pay It Forward rating 3.5/5

The cold and damp weather means we tend to snuggle up in front of the warm, log fire during the dark nights - hibernation is a very attractive notion.

As you can see the web pages go from strength to strength and this is largely based on positive suggestions from friends and family... keep the ideas coming.
