The Pig Yard

April 2001 @ the Pig Yard...

We have been asked by many why we chose a TT Roadster in the British climate and April as usual has had mixed weather with temperatures as high as 19° Celsius and overnight frosts. Whenever the sun shines we take the hood down and let the breeze blow the cobwebs away. Steve hasn't got enough hair to get it blown out of shape. A weekend has not passed when we have not had the top down.
Click for larger image It was about time we got round to painting the rendered barns and now the pressure is on for Steve to build the new door on the barn next to the garage. We wont mention the decking which is supposed to go at the end of the barns.
New garden furniture assumes that the summer is going to be excellent. We're looking forward to warm, sunny days with cool evenings sat outside under the parasol drinking chilled wine. In reality we will be sitting under an umbrella sheltering from the pouring rain or flogging ourselves to death on another garden feature. gardenfurniture.jpg (166495 bytes)
jane family web.jpg (44695 bytes) Jane's family came to stay for most of Easter which made a pleasant and unusual get together. Jane and her sister Carol managed to go for a cycle ride and managed to catch up on events.
Another film from the Richard Curtis stable (Black Adder, 4 Weddings, etc.) which has a winning formula. The audience was predominately women but it had an appeal for anyone with a romantic outlook on life heavily tinged with realism.
