Chemo – cycle 6

chemotherapy5Jane had another round of chemotherapy on Monday and we believed it would be her last session with Docetaxel but she was informed she will have another full infusion on 22nd December (not good timing for Christmas).

The day went really smoothly – Jane was called within ten minutes of her scheduled appointment at 10 am and she was finished by 2.40 pm which was the shortest session ever.

This week she has felt the full effects of the chemo – feeling sick and everything tastes of a horrible metallic flavour which is awful for her. Despite this she manages to get to her art classes and volunteers in the café at Caistor Arts and Heritage Centre. We’re just hoping that the side effects will reduce when she is not getting the Docetaxel.

  1. Hi Jane & Steve
Gerry Green’s granddaughter here, he has a letter and a Christmas card for you but doesn’t seem to have a postal address, only the website details, could you possibly email your address to carlyjanderson@hotmail.co.uk and I shall pass this on to him!
    Many Thanks

Really sorry that Jane has so much to go through so close to Xmas…but at least if you get seen ( and Steve does to see that the “service is better than it has been!). Otherwise if Jane needs care over the hols..that could be v dif as all and everyone closes…so hopefully you both have a peaceful break ( I won’t say “restfull”, as you never do!:).
Sorry, but we won’t get to visit you beforehand…where do the w/ends go to..??
Anyway, take care of each other as we know you do.
    Love P, H, C & T

Have followed your outings and your film reviews. Haven’t seen Mr Turner yet as not sure my bladder can cope with a 3 hr film..may have to await the DVD and watch at home….
