The arrangements for Jane’s funeral have been finalised as follows:
Northampton Counties Crematorium on Wednesday 3rd February @ 13:15. It will be a Humanist Service as outlined in this link… The celebrant details can be found here…
There is no dress code – casual comfortable.
No flowers but please make donations to Cancer Research UK or St Barnabas Hospice, Lincoln. There should be a link to how you can make a donation in due course.
After the cremation everyone is invited to a celebration of Jane’s life at The Walnut Tree, Blisworth from 14:00 onwards. There will a small buffet available and I do need to know approximate numbers so we can cater accordingly. Please let me know if you will be attending.
We intend to tie messages to the coffin using luggage tags so you can either write and tie them yourselves when Jane arrives at the Co-op Funeral Home, Kingsthorpe or if you cannot make it please send me your message (steve@pigyard.com) and I’ll make sure it is attached. Any photos that you would like to see displayed at the Walnut Tree celebration then please scan them and send me a copy.
This is a difficult time for us all but together we can make it an event full of happy memories and a celebration of the life of someone who managed to never a waste moment.
For our Lincolnshire friends I wouldn’t expect anyone to travel down to Northampton however I’m arranging a get together at our house on Friday 5th February from 10am – 12pm. Tea, cakes and an opportunity to gossip about Jane. Please don’t get dressed up, she’d hate that so be bright and casual or whatever you’re comfortable with (work clothes).
Thank you Steve. Mum, Bex and I will be there. Not sure about Becca right now as she’s trying to sort work x
I knew Jane through the Caistor art group. I found her to be a lovely lady….. So full of life and thinking of others ….. She will be missed greatly but I’m pleased that she is no longer in pain. May she now rest in peace.
Pauline
Thank you Steve for allowing friends to celebrate James life. I would like to attend and if there is anything I can do no matter what it is (as I live in Blisworth ), please just ask. Thank you again. Shell
I’m sorry I typed James and not Jane’s. That will teach me not to type at 6 in the morning.
Hi Shell, you are in good company because Jane’s texts were always a little garbled and I sometimes had to ask for an interpretation. Not any more though. Look forward to seeing you on 3rd February. Steve xx
