Today was Dave’s birthday so he organised a mid morning walk from Tealby followed by lunch at the King’s Head.
We walked up through the village and had good views from the churchyard through a hazy sky towards Willingham woods.
En route we came across these beautiful rare breed of sheep – pedigree Lincoln Longwools.
This one took a fancy to Jane and came across the field to get a closer look. After taking the photo Jane was rewarded by the sheep sneezing over her.
Despite the temperatures only being a few degrees above freezing there were five lambs present with their mums.
Towards the end of the walk we came by Castle Farm. We have often cycled by the track that leads up to the farm and commented on the fact that it is up for sale.
Jane chatted to a local to discover that the grade 2 listed building has been empty for twenty years and is now up for sale for £350k. The views are magnificent but it is very remote and requires a 4×4 to get up to it.
Sunday lunch at the King’s Head was excellent and as expected eating a large meal at midday makes one sleepy in the afternoon.
V interesting property…could those guys on Ch 4 who encourage people to ruin their financial affairs, marriage etc with:
“The Restoration Man” or
“Phil and Kirstie get excited showing people completely inappropriate properties in “”Escape to the country””..when most of them from London wouldn’t know the colour of “grass”..or, maybe they do indeed…but a different type!
Or others
Great fun, ONE of my types of “proper TV”
Best

It seems the property is now sold subject to contract. As you say getting a grade 2 property restored is a project of nightmares and not something we would consider. We’re very happy with our new build and all its modern amenities.
