Tree Fellers – the return

tree-fellers(oct14)The very tall trees on our land are beautiful but they do need to be maintained. In July we had an ash tree worked on after a number of dead branches started falling onto our neighbours land. We then decided we would make sure all the other trees were safe before the winter set in so today the tree surgeons are here again with their telescopic device and are removing dead growth and side branches that are detrimental to the health of the tree.

As it happens the wind is blowing gale force and it is pouring with rain but these guys are impervious to the weather. The chap at the top of the tower is moving around quite a lot but he doesn’t seem at all bothered.

We have asked them to keep any branches that can be used on the log fire and they are shredding the rest. It’s going to take a couple of days to work on all six trees.

It’s blowing a gale here too today and pouring with rain, we had tree surgeons in the village last week, they took down the tree nearest to the bus stop on Banbury Lane, it was diseased so had to come down, but I see they gave all the logs away, jenny has them all lined up in her drive, so that will save her a bit of money, she says Barry is quite stable at the moment, so a good bit of news
