We have kept in contact with our close friends from college Susie and Jon. Although we don’t meet often, sometimes there are many years between catch-ups but whenever we do meet we go back in time to 1968 when we first met at Middleton St George College of Education. It’s interesting that the characters we were in our late teens and early twenties are still beneath the surface.
The wisdom of the years has not dulled our youthful exuberance, or at least we’d like to think so.
We took them to the new house to get a better idea of its design. The day went so quickly largely because we spent the whole time in non stop conversation. All too soon it was time for them to head off back to Holmfirth but not before we agreed to meet up again after we have moved into our new home.
