The start of my adventure to the Edinburgh Fringe I drove up to stay with my friends, Tony and Jude. Tony mentioned beforehand that he needed a hand with cutting his hornbeam hedge so I took my Stihl motor with the hedge trimmer attachment. It’s a very large hedge but over a couple of hours we soon had it licked into shape and finished the back of it the following morning.
We rewarded ourselves with a trip to the Motor Museum in Elgin. An eclectic mix of classic cars some of which had raced at Le Mans.
Most of the cars were owned by the McWhirter family who started a local DIY store. Some of the cars were still raced on occasions.
After just a couple of days, too few really, I headed south to Edinburgh. I find it easier to park at the airport and get the tram into the city. The tram might seem a little expensive at £8.50 return but it is a lot cheaper and almost as convenient as getting a taxi.
