There is something fascinating about walled gardens. Easton Walled Garden near to Grantham and close to the A1 is in a wonderful setting. Like all gardens that have been long neglected, it is still a work in progress but well worth a visit.
I met with my friend Mary. We ate lunch outside the garden cafe surrounded by flowers and grasses very relaxing and a good place to recharge the batteries.
After spending a pleasant afternoon chatting we headed off to the Cholmeley Arms in Burton le Coggles where we sat outside in the sunshine until it was time to eat. The menu is very good with very generous portions. I’d certainly go again…
