At the risk of getting repetitive Jane’s three weekly chemo sessions come round with the kind of regularity of something that happens every three weeks – so no surprises. Many weeks ago you may remember the MIR trauma, well we waited an awfully long time for the result but after our holiday Jane was contacted by Dr Intrivici to say there was no problem with her liver and all was well – big sighs and of course tears of joy all round.
Back to the chemo routine – in just after 9 0’clock for the blood test and then off into Lincoln City for a coffee and wander around, raise a few hopes, look at some new mobile phones – too much choice to make a decision. Back to the hospital for a 12:30 start. Well I say a 12:30 start but this is NHS time we’re running on here so although Jane is called into the Ingham Suite at 12:30 she gets cannulised (is there such a word?) at 13:30 and her first infusion starts at 14:00. We text each other during the whole time, I finish my reading book and Jane knits enough to fill the Albert Hall (that last bit isn’t true because she cannot knit with the cannula in place). Anyway you get the picture – leave the hospital at 16:15, a few errands on the way home and another chemo day is done.
Fantastic news, had a few joyful tears myself when I read it! xx
So happy for you both love nick and Julie x
Thanks for your comment. We’re keeping ourselves busy, possibly too busy, so we cannot fit anymore activities into our diaries. Jane is managing to live a normal life except for the one day every three weeks when chemo takes over but there are very few, if any, side effects. The magic continues…
Just the best news…….so happy for you both! xx
Many thanks and glad to know your good health continues… but sad to hear your guinea pig (sorry Jane did tell me her name but I’ve forgotten) is no longer with you.
