Snowfall

Winter has arrived in Lincolnshire this week. The daytime temperature barely rises above freezing and the wind has been bitterly cold. Another reason for staying in the house.

When the weather is like this I find myself sitting front of the computer or reading and I light the log burner early. My log store is going down but I think I have enough seasoned wood to last until the end of the winter. My logs are as a result of the diseased sycamore I had taken down in June 2018 so it has lasted nearly three years. At the end of this month an ash tree has to be removed and I’m hoping the wood from that will last another three years.
