Spectre – Film Review

spectre(nov15)The early Bond films left me cold but since Pierce Brosnan I think we’ve been to see every film at the cinema. There were doubts about Daniel Craig taking the role but we rated him since his performance in Layer Cake and after three outings as Commander Bond he continues to impress.

At the risk of a spoiler I need to say that even the before the credits a building collapses in the centre of a major city with Bond the instigator of mayhem as usual.

Within a heartbeat the film is on a roll and the action continues without a pause. The plot draws strongly on the previous Bond films that Daniel Craig has starred in and all of the past arch enemies are there to haunt him, even the old M (Judy Dench) appears.

The stunts are incredible and of course you have to leave reality at the box office to escape into the film and enjoy every second. We did and enjoyed every moment of Spectre…

No doubt it’s a rollicking ride – loved it as I have all the Daniel Craig Bond films, he wins hands down as a Bond. I’d like to think that DCs got at least one more Bond film in him. Bests Steve.

So, Jane and Steve. What’s your favourite Bond film? I remember very well my parents taking me to my first, as a youngster……Thunderball! Still one the best even if in reality Sean Connery had more hair on his chest than his head…Perhaps a poll of favourites is required.
