The Intern – Film Review

the-intern(oct15)What a great thought – “Experience never gets old” and what an enjoyable film. We were debating whether to see The Martian but the timings were not good for us so we opted to drive to Cleethorpes and catch an afternoon showing of The Intern.

The film is about a 70 year old executive who is no longer happy being retired and joins a start up ecommerce company as a senior intern. The melding of life experience and young entrepreneurs is superb. We laughed out loud and we cried in equal measure – what a wonderful film, gentle escapism on a wet October afternoon.

And for Jane the icing on the cake was a bag of chips, yes chips, from Cleethorpes sea front.

  1. Doesn’t get better than that, cinema and chips! We are looking forward to seeing the Martian, we read the book and thought it brilliant.
