Lincolnshire Sculpture

wooden-sculpture(sep14)We saw this wooden sculpture several months ago but we didn’t buy it because we weren’t sure where we would put it. Now we’ve been in the house for four months we feel at home and decided it would look really good in the atrium window at the front of the house.

It shows the sun shining over a swallow, a hare and ears of corn. This is very typical as we’ve seen more hares in the area than we ever saw in Northamptonshire. Also, if Kent is the market garden of Britain then Lincolnshire is the bread basket of the country with more cereal grown here than anywhere else in the UK.
