Half Term Update

lincoln-castle-light-show(oWe didn’t let Half Term get in the way of our lives and we certainly tried to pack a lot in. As Jane had not had a chemo session the week before we risked going down to London to see Jane’s mum in her care home. I say care home but it might be better to call it “couldn’t care less home” but I won’t go into the details here. Suffice to say it is yet another thing for Jane to worry about.

We also drove over to Sheffield Meadow Hall to meet up with our young friends Caitlin and Tessa who are starting a new Landscape design business so we had lunch, caught up on their working lives and discussed their website which I’m in the process if building.

Jane had her chemo and a meeting with her oncologist. She has some lesions on her chest that will require a biopsy but Dr Intrivici was pleased with Jane’s liver function which continues to improve so hopefully the chemo is working.

We finished the week with a light show at Lincoln Castle. We had high expectations but it was a bit if a let down because the projection only lasted 15 minutes and the theme of freedom was lost in pretentious images and sound track. There was an interactive part to the show – it required masses of people either to shout very loudly or jump up and down in unison to get a light effect however the action/reaction wasn’t obvious so it didn’t really work.
