Jane met her oncologist on Monday but there was no news other than Jane would hopefully get a 100% treatment on Thursday (80% first time). It was a nightmare on Tuesday getting the blood sample taken as the queue potentially could have taken 3 or 4 hours thankfully we decided to go down to oncology who happily took the blood without a wait.
Thursdays chemo was disheartening because Jane’s liver function has deteriorated and so they would only give her less than last time. It becomes a balance between fighting the cancer and damaging the liver so we just hope Dr Intrivici has got it right.
So how does Jane feel? In pain when she’s not taking paracetamol and morphine, no appetite, fighting to keep her weight up, fatigue, sometimes nauseas, difficulty sleeping at night and finally with no surprise here – depressed at times.
Stay strong Jane (and Steve) . Am thinking of you and sending lots of love and positive thoughts. x x
As Christie says it’s never easy reading the chemo news but it’s better for us to know than not to know. As always our thoughts and prayers are with you both. Love Kath xx
It’s hard to read when you tell it as it is, but at least then people can understand just how hard it is, all any of us can hope and pray that, as you say, the Dr is right.
Love and best wishes to you both
Christy
