We’ve been looking forward to the time our dear friends from Bulgaria, Martin and Kate would join with the Northampton contingent, Sue and Graham, to come and visit our enclave in Lincolnshire. It was Sue’s birthday so she took us all out to the Old Barn in Tealby and a good time was had by all. Although they only stayed a couple of nights we made time to get into Lincoln and explore the castle (walking the walls) where somehow we managed to separate into gender groups for our photo shoots.
On the second evening Dave and Lucie hosted one of their magnificent barbecues and the weather held good all evening. Of course Nick couldn’t help but get in on the act so he and Dave played a BBQ duet on two burners. A night to remember.
All too soon the time for farewells came around and I feel certain there were a few tears shed as we hugged and said our goodbyes – we miss our dear friends who we separated from when the intrepid six moved to Lincolnshire.
Looks as though you all had a good time, it was my birthday
this weekend and the girls organised a surprise party in the village hall, so we had a good time in Rothersthorpe too xx
