After nine weeks of waiting the atrium windows have been installed and we’re really pleased with the way it’s looking. Of course you still have to use your imagination to see how the green frames will blend into the timber cladding on the upper half and the render on the lower half but we think it will be fine.
There are still a few snags with fitting some of the windows. They have sent one fixed window for over the front door that is hinged as though it is meant to open and there is an aluminium plate on the bottom of it as though it is supposed to be a door entrance – very odd. Thankfully the window supplier, Velfac, have agreed to amend the window on site so that it can be installed in the next week.
On another positive note the drive is taking shape and there is a suggestion that it will be given a first layer of tarmac prior to the block paving going on top by the end of the week. Once we have access to the site with a vehicle and trailer we will start to move the plants we have here at Manor Farm into our new garden. The idea is to put the pots under the trees because the workmen are not supposed to go into that area.
