Living in isolation is interesting. We’re all staying in touch, changing our routines and habits but I keep reminding myself that this is still only Day 5 and we have another 85 days (minimum) to go. There’s still a strong novelty factor however will I feel the same on Day 25?
The almond tree is now in full blossom and I haven’t managed to take a decent photo that captures the total effect. I’m sure there’s an explanation as to why the eye sees so much more than a camera and maybe that’s the art of photography – knowing how to capture those difficult images.
This week I started following the Joe Wicks 30 minute workouts. I’m doing them alongside (virtually) my college friends so we contact each other through our WhatsApp group before and after each session which is good motivation. I’m feeling better for it already and it is now part of my daily routine.
I’ve managed to remove the tree stump from the corner of the garden and despite it being quite rotten it still refused to come quietly. You can see the remnants piled up against the fence which be left as an insect haven.
I can now rake over the ground and sow the wildflower seeds. I’ll take some photos as the area develops.
The rest of the garden is looking ok in places but as the weather improves so the weeds are creeping in. I need a good weeding session over the weekend even if the weather does turn colder as forecast.
