Baking for One

Last weekend while staying with Gary and Caroline I had a superb sausage roll and I realised I prefer sausage rolls over mince pies. I decided to make some of my own and thanks to a recipe sent to me by Caroline I mustered the ingredients and started baking. The ensuing mess was inevitable but you can’t make an omelette without breaking eggs and I did break an egg to whisk up and brush on the joints.

I had concerns I had too much sausage meat and had I rolled out the puff pastry too much or too little. They turned out fine and really make a good snack with a cup of tea.

I’m so chuffed I might even make some more because these are going down quite quickly.

Look lovely Steve, have a nice Christmas & New Year. Thanks for the card, I’ve done a charity donation in lieu of cards to Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital this year xx
