Fleabag – National Theatre Live Screening

I’ve been an avid fan of the TV series Fleabag since the very first episode and that must be going back over 4 years because Jane and I watched it together.

The opportunity to see the stage version starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge wasn’t to be missed. She originally did the show as a one woman act at the Edinburgh Fringe, but I never saw it there. Waller-Bridge is not only a superb writer she is also a very expressive actor. Her comic timing is impeccable and her face contains a multiplicity of nuances. Throughout the performance it was possible to see how she translated the ninety minute stage show into two series. Her characterisation is unique and pure genius.

If you missed this live screen look out for repeats coming soon to an arts cinema near you.
