Jane went to see her oncologist yesterday (Friday) which marked the end of her first three week cycle. I should point out that Dr Intrivici is Italian and she’s wonderful. She does have a slight language issue but that makes the consultations all the more fun, for example when discussing Jane’s diet she was searching for the English name for a fruit that Jane might like – “Anais” she said and after some head scratching we came up with pineapple, unfortunately Jane had tried that but it was too acidic and was therefore not palatable at the moment.
Aside from all this Dr Intrivici was pleased with Jane’s progress – the swelling under her arms has reduced; her breast is no longer inflamed and her bloods are holding up so she can go ahead with the Trastuzumab and Pertuzumab on Monday morning as planned. She does get a week off the Docetaxel. Jane is now through her first cycle and there are another five cycles to go so it’s still early days.
We feel we’re beating this…
Well done Jane (and Steve). Good to hear – keep up the good work! xx
Pleased to read the positives in this.
We were on cloud nine when we came away from the hospital. Its proving to be a great weekend. Thanks for your continued support. Steve xx
