Our very good friends Tony and Jude drove down from the Scottish Highlands to spend a few days with us. They are lovely company and easy guests so we made the most of their short visit. We spent the Tuesday at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park where there was a Henry Moore exhibition in the lower gallery and the usual installations around the vast grounds. The weather was particularly kind and so we walked around the lakes inspecting the sculptures.
The following day we drove up to Grimsby for the Fishing Heritage Centre which is a nostalgic walk back in time to the 1950s.
Before they continued on their travels to Northampton we walked through the woods up to the Sunnyside Up Café and sat outside for a delightfully relaxing coffee and cakes. We look forward to our next meeting and all being well we will once again travel north in the autumn.
