With the house coming along so quickly we decided to buy some plants to put into the new garden. On the south side of the plot there is a band of mature trees and we need to put in some shrubs that will thrive beneath the leaf canopy.
Apart from two rows of raspberry canes that Jane can be seen planting here we also planted several varieties of rhododendrons.
Each hole that we dug started to fill with water when we were less than a spades depth down so the water table at the moment is very high. We’re hoping it will dry out at some point otherwise we may finish up growing rice in the vegetable plot.
