Clangers

I went to see a talk by Dr Phil Hammond at Lincoln University. I saw him at Edinburgh Fringe last year and persuaded Dave and Lucie to come along. He is a working Doctor, comedian and has written for Private Eye for many years. He’s the kind of doctor who you wished worked at your local surgery however there he would only have 10 minutes to win you over whereas his performance is an all too short hour. He introduced us to the idea of “Clangers” – not the cute BBC moon characters.

Try to do your CLANGERS every day, as part of a regular routine

  • (be) Active

  • Give back
  • Eat well
  • Relax
  • Sleep

He was very funny and we also learned how to achieve physical and mental health thus reducing the pressure on our overworked NHS.
