The Pig Yard

In October 1996 we took part in the 25th Anniversary Albuquerque Balloon Festival and flew alongside 800+ other balloons.

The first morning of the festival was the most frightening as we didn't know what to expect on take off. We used a cylinder of propane whilst waiting for the signal to take off. Steve flew for an hour with Graham and Sue as passengers. We nearly ran out of gas before eventually landing on a concrete waste bin set on the edge of a grass area in a suburb of the city.
