December 2000 @ the Pig Yard
We have returned from our visit to the colonies (Australia and USA). Our 4 weeks were broken up into 4 sections. We spent one week with our friends Ian and Sue in Queensland, a few days in Sydney, a week with Jane's sister, Ruth, in Tasmania and finally a week with Steve's brother, Clive, in San Francisco.
Ian and Sue's home, an hour North of Brisbane, was our home for a week. We felt completely relaxed on their 40 acre plot. |
Any visit to Sydney would not be complete without visiting the Opera House. |
Tasmania must be one of the most unspoilt areas in the world. Wine glass bay pictured here is only accessible by walking over a steep ridge for one and half hours. |
San
Francisco is a city of many charms, and Steve's brother helped us to fit
into city life very quickly.

We were greeted with a powdery layer of snow on our arrival home. At least the skies were blue even if the temperatures remained below freezing for several days. |
